27th November-St Johns [A] 0-5 [W]

This was a strange game that we always looked if we were going to win the match but made hard work of it.St Johns battled in the early stages that made us realise that we were going to be in a game but we steaded our nerves when we scored through Jacob Payne who along with Danny Pricthard who scored the second from a corner have seamed to have now settled well into the team since they joined us in the summer.Leckie and Wainwright combined well for Leckie to grab the 3rd goal of the game, Matty's really starting to lay the ball of to others in the side and looks better every week because of this.Jacob netted his other 2 to score his second hat-trick in a fortnight.Everyone played well but a special mention goes to danny and Winnie who had stormers in the middle of midfield, well played. PS Jordan don't look so worried when Lewis may pass back to you. Relax no probs!!!!

20th November-Weddington Thistle [H] 9-0 Tamworth Invitation Trophy
The lads were up for this match against local rivals Weddy who we have not played for sometime due to us plying are trade inTamworth. The lads were out of the blocks like a flash and went up 1-0 in 2 minutes thanks to a well taken goal from Jacob Payne. The goals continued to flow from Chris Wainwright 2,Nathan Rust 2, Paul Winn, Matthew Leckie and Jacob completing his Hat-trick.This was are best performance as an 11-a-side team and some of the football played was of the highest quality are passing and movement was really good.We can play like that every week if we put are minds to it the defence lead by Tom and Lewis was good and Jordan did not have much to do but his three top saves were outstanding and he goes from strength to strength after coming back from his broken toe.Well Done!!!. PS Winnie look a bit pleased when you score a stunner!

13th November- Atherstone [H] 6-1 [W]
St.Nic's started this game as they finished the last, still someway sort of their best and at half-time were trailing 0-1.The management made some tatical changes to formation and a bit of talking too at the interval and started the second half in a more postive manner.Chris Wainwright scored the first of his three goal's and with Matthew Leckie also getting three the lads started to play like they can and totally controled the game, anybody who turned up late to see the last five minute's of the first half and all of the second would never of thought it was the same team.Well done everyone for a great second half performance!!

6th November-Gillway Boys Phoenix {A} 0-2 {W} AET Tamworth Major Cup Round 2
This game was one to forget , against oppostion that we would normally look to beat quite easily, Gillway nearly caused a big cup upset .Gary could not make this match due to work but had a full commentrey of the game by phone could not belive what he was hearing, although their keeper had a blinder in the Gillway goal.St Nics had the chances but failed to score sending the game into extra time and a bigger phone bill for Gary, still 0-0 after the first period the Boy's found there shooting boot's in the second period and scored through Jacob Payne and shortly after a second by Matthew Leckie.Message to the Boy's never take anybody lightly you can come a cropper one day.

9th October - Dosthill Colts Lions (A) 2-1 (L)
The wheels finally came off the bandwagon with defeat against the Lions. It was not so much that we lost but the manner of the defeat. It's quite normal for one or two players in a team to have an off day but on this occasion the whole side performed well below their normal standards. Dosthill, who had also won their first four games, knew this was an important match & they seemed well up for it. They were tackling harder & were quicker to the ball throughout the match. On the other hand we could hardly string two passes together & seemed totally off the pace. Despite this, Dosthill didn't create too many chances. They had two good long shots at goal & scored from both of them. Jack McElvenney scored our goal with a fine shot to make it 1-1 at half time. The second half was disappointing, we didn't really put their keeper under any pressure, hardly having a shot on goal. Dosthill deserved their win & Gary, rightly so, read the Boys the riot act. Our return game could be crucial in determining where the title goes.

2nd October - Baddesley Colts (A) 1-8 (W)
The boys made it four wins out of four with this rather easy win against Baddesley. The hosts had little to offer apart from their two quick lads up front. They had a couple of chances to score but found Jordan Thompson in great form between the sticks. The only downside came when Jordon broke a toe making save. He'll be out for 5-6 weeks & will be sorely missed. The goals were shared out amongst the team, Leckie notched a second succesive hat-trick, Chris Wainwright scored two & Nathan Rust, George Goodman & Paul Winn added the others.

25th September - Dosthill Colts (H) 6-1 (W)
We always see games against Dosthill as one of the crunch matches of the season so the scoreline could be viewed as somewhat of a surprise. Whilst it was a resounding win the margin of victory is a little unkind to Dosthill. As usual, it was a hard fought match with both sides playing some good football. The big difference was in our ability to put the ball in the back of the net. Leckie had far better day than the previous week, scoring four. Jack Payne added the other two. Dosthill's only reply came from the penalty spot. It was not all one way, though, Dosthill had several chances but either missed the target or were thwarted by Jordan Thompson in goal. A great win, nevertheless, and three valuable points against one of the sides who will be in with a shout of the title come May.

18th Septemeber - Amington Boys (A) 0-2 (W)
The scoreline suggests a close game but with some more clinical finishing this game would have been over as a contest after ten minutes. Matthew Leckie could have had a hat-trick after the first five minutes but just couldn't put his chances away. It looked like it was going to be one of those frustrating matches where nothing would go in. Eventually Matthew did put one away & hopes were high that a hatful would follow. This was even more so when 'super-sub' Nathan Rust scored with a fine first time shot. Despite our, almost, non-stop pressure the goals would not come & some of the credit must go to Amington's goalie who had a fine game. Amington had a couple of chances but, again, Jordon Thompson had very little to do in goal. There were no further goals in the second half and the game petered out, somewhat. Stll, another win.

11th September - Coton Green Wolves (H) 5-0 (W)
The Boys opened their 2004/05 campaign with a comfortable win against Coton Green. We got our passing game into full flow and the visitors had very little answer. The goals came from five different players, Matthew Leckie, Nathan Rust, Ben Cooper, Chris Wainwright & Dan Pritchard. Such was our dominance that we could easily have scored double the amount & Jordan Thompson in goal was rarely troubled.
