21st April - Ambleside Marlins (H) 1 - 1 (D)
With a player short on starting the game the boys coped well with the pace and battled well which resulted in a great goal from Bradley Stevens. Unfortunately, after making his mark, Bradley was sidelined by a tackle from the opposition leaving the team yet another player down. Despite best efforts by the rest of the team: Bradley Steptoe, Matty Wainwright, Matty Bird, Ryan Ball and Max Duggan, the side found it a slight struggle in the second half as an equaliser came from Ambleside. They fought on however to maintain a 1-1 draw. Special mention to Bradley Stevens for battling on despite being injured. Well tried lads!

16th April - Grove Farm Ravens (H) 4 - 1 (W)
This game was the one the lads could not wait to get started as Grove Farm had taken their unbeaten record away from them a few weeks earlier. The game kicked off to a ferocious pace with the Colts dictating all the play with great attitude and great strength showed by each one of the boys. The first goal came quickly from Ryan Ball which settled the lads down and they showed a superb display of football. A second goal soon followed from Bradley Steptoe. Matty Bird and Thomas Barkes both played with great determination which started to wear down the opposition. Two further goals were scored, Ryan Ball and Bradley Steptoe, making the scoreline at half-time 4 - 0. The lads eased off the pressure a little in the second half but still displayed wonderful teamwork. Grove Farm surprisingly kept fighting back and were rewarded with a goal, but with superb play by Matty Wainwright, Harry Woodley, Bradley Stevens and Max Duggan, they never looked likely to score again. This result secured the St Nicolas Colts as the winners of the League. Very well done boys and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!

26th February - Bulkington Sports (A) 1 - 2 (W)
The opposition played a very strong and competitive game. Our boys continually attacked their goals but a very strong defence stopped many an opportunity paying off. What seemed like their first attack in the Colts half, Bulkington Sports were rewarded with a deflection which found the top righthand corner of the net. At half-time the Colts were 0 - 1 down. Heads up high and knowing exactly what they had to do, a goal was scored early in the second half by Thomas Barkes (the birthday boy). The team was highly encouraged by this and Ryan Ball, Bradley Steptoe and Bradley Stevens kept on attacking and passing the ball around very well. This resulted in a great strike from Matty Bird which found the back of the net. Harry Woodley and Matty Wainwright worked very hard in defence keeping the opposition at bay along with Max Duggan who closed down the angle for the opposition striker making him narrowly miss an equalizer.

The Colts took control of this game from the start with five goals being scored in quick concession; one each from Bradley Steptoe, Bradley Stevens, Matty Bird, Ryan Ball and Thomas Barkes. The second half provided many a goal attempt from the Colts but only the one by Thomas Barkes hitting the target. Ambleside battled well against the Colts but it proved difficult for them to penetrate the strong defensive performance from Harry Woodley and Matty Wainwright. Max Duggan ended the game as he started with a clear sheet which helped us to keep our unbeaten record. Well done boys!

30th January - Admirals (A) 1 -6 (W)
On a difficult pitch St. Nics Colts came up against a determined Admirals side, matching us in all departments. An excellent first half with just a single goal from Ryan Ball to make the score 0 - 1 at half time. A quick start from the Admirals resulted in an equaliser. The Colts showed strength of character, working hard under pressure, which resulted in a goal from Matty Bird and a hat-trick from Bradley Steptoe. Matty Wainwright, Harry Woodley and Thomas Barkes distributed the ball around very well, plenty of hard work by Max Duggan in goal and a final strike by Bradley Stevens made the final scoreline Admirals 1 - St Nics Colts 6. 23rd January - Haunchwood Panthers (H) 10 - 0 (W)

The Colts took charge of the game witha fast pace of football and excellent distribution throughout the team and precision passing by Bradley Stevens and Matty Bird which, along with the removal of any attempts on goal by Max Duggan, resulted in a 5 - 0 scoreline at half-time - Bradley Steptoe (3) Ryan Ball (2). After positional changeovers at half-time a cracking goal followed by Harry Woodley and Matty Bird kept his eye on the target resulting in a hat-trick for him. Matty Wainwright played some lovely football upfront whilst Bradley Steptoe slid in another goal to finish off an excellent display of football in what at times appeared to be a most physical and competitive game. Final score 10 - 0. Well done the Colts.

16th January - Bedworth Eagles (A) 0 - 4 (W)
Another away-day for the Colts this time visiting Bedworth Eagles. The team being back to full strength soon pressurized the opposition which lead to an excellent first goal by Bradley Stevens. Ryan Ball quickly scored the second resulting in a 0 -2 scoreline at half-time. The second half kicked off by Bedworth Eagles eager to claim some goals back, however this was made extremely difficult with Matty Wainwright, Thomas Barkes, Harry Woodley remaining strong in defence and of course not forgetting the goalie Max Duggan. Bradley Steptoe made an excellent run part way through the second half which resulted in the third goal and Ryan Ball scored his second of the day which enabled the St Nics Colts goals scored tally to reach 100!!!!!!! WELL DONE ST NICS COLTS ON THIS MASSIVE ACHIEVEMENT. Final score Bedworth Eagles 0 - St Nics Colts 4.

The Rebels played operating a four man defence, with the scoreline 2 - 0 at half time. The second half started with the third goal coming from Ryan Ball and a run out for Max Duggan (goalie) resulted in the fourth goal being scored. The final goal came from Matty Wainwright rewarded for all his hard work throughout the game and one mustn't forget to mention the tireless efforts from Bradley Stevens who unusually didn't get his name on the scoresheet today but worked solidly so his team would get this win. Well done all of you!

19th December - St Nicolas Warriors (A) 0 - 5 (W)
The match started with a very determined Warrior side attacking the Colts at a very quick pace. The Colts responded with Harry Woodley and Matty Bird making some lovely passes between them which helped to create two goals from Ryan Ball, a goal from Bradley Steptoe, and one from Bradley Stephens. Half-time score 0-4. The Warriors displayed some excellent football and kept their heads up and kept attacking the Colts only to be stopped by the strong defensive play of Thomas Barkes and the safe hands of Max Duggan. Although the Colts missed numerous chances to score in the second half credit must be given to the Warriors who stood strong to only concede one further goal scored in the last few minutes of the game and being the second goal of the game for Bradley Stephens. Final score 0 - 5. Well done the Colts and the Warriors.

12th December - Bedworth Eagles Colts (H) 3 - 0 (W)
The game kicked off at a fast and competitive pace by the Bedworth team. Our lads keeping up with them quickly scored their first goal of the game from a well turned cross from Ryan Ball into the box for a precise finish by Bradley Steptoe. Heads seemed to go down by the opposition and great play by Matty Bird and Bradley Stevens made it difficult for Bedworth Eagles Colts to match the goal. The second half started again quickly but Thomas Barkes and Harry Woodley remained strong and tight in defence. Our boys were awarded a penalty after Bradley Stevens was brought down in the box and was superbly put away by Bradley Steptoe. Bedworth Eagles Colts had their chances but all were tidied up safely by Max Duggan in goal. After a great display of football from all boys concerned Bradley Steptoe then scored again completing his hat-trick. Well done!

Max Duggan then kept our lead with some strong goalkeeping before Bradley Stevens took the pressure off with a second goal. Half-time score 0 - 2. The second half started with some good attacking play down both wings and some great crosses into the box. Ryan Ball came very close to making it 0 -3 but was denied by the woodwork. 28th November - Whitestone Sports (H) 7 - 1 (W)
Whitestone Sports came to give us a game and this they certainly did. The Colts starting the game slow but still managed to put away an early goal by Thomas Barkes. Swiftly and strongly Whitestone Sports attacked and managed to equalize. This seemed to jolt our boys into action and attacked the opposition with goal attempts from all over the field but the crossbar and side netting kept the the scoreline even until Thomas Barkes put away his second of the game. Whitestone Sports kept pushing forward and attacking our goal and with quality defending by Matty Wainwright and Harry Woodley and two superb saves by Max Duggan meant the Whitestone team weren't going to score any more. The Colts seemed to go from strength to strength and scored a further 5 more goals, Thomas Barkes completed his hatrick, Bradley Steptoe scored 2, Bradley Stevens 1 and Matty Bird 1.

Management changes bought Max Duggan out of goal for all of this match and each player taking his turn in goal to secure our clean sheet so far this Season. Ground conditions were very poor but the Colts managed a two goal lead by half-time with goals from Max Duggan and Harry Woodley. The second half started on a fastly deteriorating pitch but still all the team managed to pass the ball around creating the third goal from Ryan Ball, the fourth by Bradley Steptoe and another last minute goal by Max Duggan. Well done lads - hope your toes have defrosted Brad!

After last week's postponement it was good to get the boys back playing football. On a very wet rainsoaked pitch the Colts started a little slow but soon got back into their stride with goals from Bradley Steptoe and Bradley Stevens. The Colts started to put on the pressure with a couple of good goal kicks from Max Duggan soon followed by two goals by Ryan Ball. Bradley Stevens also scored his second goal of the game with the final goal coming from Harry Woodley. Once again a strong performance from Tom Barkes and Matty Wainwright.
